Jason and I have created this website to give others a glimpse into our life and document things about our family: our likes, dislikes, day-to-day and of course photos. Right now we are taking a very special journey that will lead us to growing our family through adoption… so please, pull up a chair and have a cup of Chai tea (Naomi’s favorite) and happy reading!jason17

A little about both of us. Jason loves to read non-fiction usually related to history, attend any sporting event (especially related to the Oregon State Beavers), play music including guitar and drums. He loves bike riding, finding new area trails to take walks on, hiking the Oregon falls,  going camping and to the beach. His favorite food is probably nachos and currently he is keeping busy with school. He works as an EKG Technician at our local hospital and is going to school to become a nurse.

Naomi is really into crafting. She loves to create jewelry, sew, refurbish old furniture and also loves photography. She also loves to read but usually is drawn to fiction. Right now she is a stay-at-home mom to our (almost) 21 month old foster son. She has a jewelry business on the side and makes bird nest necklaces. A few days a week she also nanny’s another little boy. Both Jason and Naomi love children. Naomi used to be a preschool teacher and has her degree in Early Childhood Education and they both are currently Children’s Church leaders in their local church. Besides heading up Children’s Church, they are both on the worship team (Naomi’s sings and plays keyboard and Jason drums) and also help head up local community outreaches.

Jason teaches children about faith and fear through an object lesson during our children’s church.

When Naomi was 17 she had a laparoscopy surgery and the doctors discovered that she would never be able to conceive a child. Jason and Naomi had just started dating at this time and through a very emotional time Jason told Naomi he loved her still no matter what. We married two years later and have been married five years this August.
We became local foster parents in October 2010 and have had five children come through our home. Our fifth child that is currently with us, has been with us since birth. We’ll call him Baby K here. As of right now we are praying everyday for a baby to join our family through the blessing of adoption and waiting on our miracle!
