Our family

Jason comes from a very large family. He is the oldest of eleven children, the youngest was just welcomed into the family on May 12, 2013. There are 8 boys and 3 girls.  Josiah is 23 and married to his beautiful wife Monique. They enjoy playing tennis, their pets, and even have their own game room. Mackenzie is a barista and an amazing photographer, Tyler works at an Indian restaurant , Jonathan is into basketball, Caleb is the Mr. Fix It Man in the family, Abigail loves making videos with her crazy brothers , Noah is into Legos, Jackson loves playing army guys, Lily’s favorite pass time is playing with her doll and stealing her moms iPhone, and Hayden is into sleeping (and nursing) since he’s only 4 day old! So there you have it! The Rice family in one sentence!

Family has always been very important to Jason and living in the same city has made it easy to have frequent get togethers, sleepovers and living room camp outs with the kids, and pizza nights at the Rice Ranch (as we like to call his families home). A couple times of month we usually head over for a family game night of Pit or Cranium. Jason’s dad is a local pastor and Jason grew up as a “preacher kid”. His mother is a homemaker and they are waiting and praying everyday for their first grandchild to be added to the family.

Naomi’s family is a little bit smaller. Her parents and oldest sister live about an hour and a half away, while her second oldest sister lives about 10 minutes away. Naomi’s oldest sister Jennifer was born with Cerebral Palsy but she doesn’t let that stop her from being as independent as possible. She works at the local university in the cafe, she owns her own home, and prefers talking on the phone and going out to coffee.

Danielle (Naomi’s second oldest sister) and her husband John, have a family of their own both grown biologically and through adoption. She has 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys. She is Naomi’s closest friend and they often do sister dates together most everyday (the kids tag along, of course).

Naomi is extremely close to her parents and family. Her and Jason visit their family (or vice versa) usually every other week. Gary, Naomi’s father, work in the construction field while Naomi’s mom, Denise, is a homemaker. They also are eagerly awaiting a grand baby to love and spoil!
